My Process

My UX process is not rigid; it’s flexible. It changes dependent on the constraints of each individual project. In most cases it follows the route outlined below…

  • Define the project’s overarching goal and scope with team members and stakeholders.

  • Identify the key problems that the new project, feature or application must solve.

  • Research and challenge my assumptions, analyse competitors and review any existing software.

  • Start to get wireframes together and go through the process of eliminating bad ideas and develop further the good ones. Then set up refinement sessions to go through UX proposals with team members to validate and improve.

  • Move into high-fidelity designs with the proposed path and build out ‘happy path/unhappy path, system inputs and edge cases. Then refine further with the team in refinement and feedback sessions.

  • Create an interactive prototypes to A/B test through moderated/un-moderated user testing. Gather the feedback and incorporate unforeseen interactions/elements if they are valid. And correct issues participants found.

  • Finalise, document and start the shipping process and handovers to the engineering team.
